HEREFORD United have been given a plum draw in the second round of the Carling Cup with a short trip to Birmingham to take on Premier League Aston Villa.
A large following is expected to cheer on Jamie Pitman's side at the match which will take place in the week beginning August 22.
But the crowd is unlikely to be as large as when the sides were last paired in the competition.
That was back in 1972 when more than 32,000 packed into Villa Park to see the home side win a first-round tie 4-1.
United earned their second round place thanks to Yoann Arquin's dramatic injury-time winner against Brentford on Tuesday.
