FITNESS trainer Ged Musto is proving he’s at the top of his game.

The Leominster man has been named as one of the top 10 personal trainers in the UK for 2010.

Musto has been recognised by The Fitness Association - and it is the third time he’s made the top 10.

Winning the ‘Best Health and Beauty’ award in Herefordshire for 2009, set him on the path to his latest accolade.

Musto started his personal training career in 1994 and can count Monty Don, Lenny Henry and Val Kilmer’s ex-wife, Joanne Whalley, among his clients.

He has also been keen to prove his own fitness and holds world records for push-ups and sit-ups.

“There’s nothing better than seeing a client with a beaming face when they have achieved above and beyond their fitness goals,” he said.

Musto’s next big challenge is dispel the myth that personal trainers are a ‘rich man’s luxury’.

“There is no substitution for a personal trainer in my eyes,” he said.

“You don't get the oneon- one relationship with a gym instructor that I am able to build up with my clients.

“I also believe that more women use a personal trainer because they are self-conscious about training in front of strangers.”

Musto also specialises in sports therapy, massage and running outdoor weekends.
