SUCCESS at the Ironbridge Regatta capped off a triumphant month for Ross Rowing Club.

Once again the promising young junior members stole the limelight, bagging an impressive number of victories.

Coxed by Jess Crossman the Wj12 quad of Christina Stevenson, Alice Reynolds, Emily Leach and Skye Jenkins claimed victory with a solid display.

There then followed three singles victories for the juniors with Livi Baynham Williams winning in the Wj13 class, Pippa England in the Wj12 and Rosie Brandram Jones triumphing in the Wj15 event.

Three wins and a creditable final place ensured that the Ladies' squad also left with their heads held high.

Ladies' Captain Sheron Dean-Lucas coxed the Masters C four of Annie Williams, Rowena Pollock, Dawn Evans and Nicky Wild to a well-earned win in the final.

These five women were later joined in the Masters C eight by Chris Hughes, Sharon Finch and Alison Griffin and, despite a handicap, rowed to victory.

The Intermediate 2 coxed four of Geenee Watling, Geraldine Calcraft, Emily Preece and Holly Campbell completed the hat-trick of wins for the Ladies squad.

After winning their first two rounds, against local rivals Gloucester and Hereford, the Novice eight team were narrowly beaten in the final by Stourport.

In the Masters B event the pairing of Philip Davies and Steve Randell rowed home the first win for the Men's squad.

The following day they were joined by Anthony Dixon-Gough and Lenny Colling to record a good victory over the 500m sprint course.
