Hereford United manager John Trewick has praised goalkeeper Adam Bartlett for his efforts this season.

Bartlett has been in excellent form for the Bulls since arriving at Edgar Street in the summer.

The former Kidderminster Harriers man is Hereford’s new skipper.

“Things have gone well for Adam because he’s a good pro and works hard at his game,” said Trewick.

“He was at a bigger club when he was a young lad and his path was blocked because he had Shay Given and Steve Harper ahead of him at Newcastle United.

“Adam went to a couple of Non-League clubs and then found his way to Kidderminster in the Conference where he had a very good season.

“He was determined to move to the next level into the Football League.”

Trewick added: “Adam works hard at his game and wants to improve. He’s always cheerful and has an excellent attitude.

“It has not always been plain sailing for Adam because one or two things went against him in pre-season.

“But he was willing to listen to advice and he learnt from those things.

“At the moment, everything is going well for Adam, and long may that continue.”
