Coleshill Town 3 Westfields 1.
WESTFIELDS remain in the bottom-six of the Aspire Midland Alliance after conceding two penalties and an own goal in their defeat at Coleshill.
The Hereford club missed four good goal-scoring opportunities and were disappointed not to have collected a point.
Westfields had the better of the opening 20 minutes and Mark Hibbard and James Upcott blazed over from good positions.
Coleshill took the lead when a punch from goalkeeper Gareth Williams fell to defender Anthony Rivett who headed the ball into his own net.
The home side extended their advantage when Ashley Day conceded a penalty and Mark Robinson scored from the spot.
Westfields came storming back and should have reduced the deficit when Danny Hill ran on to a Hibbard through-ball but the striker’s shot was smothered.
Then, in a goal-mouth scramble, an Upcott shot was cleared off the line by a Coleshill defender.
The visitors started well after the restart and Danny Hill rattled the bar after collecting a pass from Sam Harrison.
Westfields continued to make headway and Paul Allam delivered two crosses which narrowly evaded the visiting strikers.
Coleshill made the points safe from a second penalty in the 68th minute after Terry Green fouled Matt Robinson who then scored from the spot.
Westfields pulled a goal back through Danny Moon’s 20-yard drive and they also had two strong penalty-claims turned down by the referee.
