HEREFORD defender Aaron Skinner is expecting a tough match when they head to Brackley Town on Saturday looking to continue their unbeaten start.
Brackley have suffered two defeats in their opening five matches, but finished above the Bulls last season in third.
“Brackley have been up there a few years on the bounce now,” said Skinner.
“They’re always a tough team to play against. Away was a really difficult game (last season).
“We’ll be expecting the same on Saturday, but we’ll be ready to take it on.”
Following a 4-1 win at Southport on Saturday the Bulls were held to a 3-3 draw in an enthralling game against Radcliffe at Edgar Street on Monday, leaving many fans disappointed by the home display.
“We huffed and puffed and tried our best,” added Skinner.
“We’re a bit disappointed with conceding the goals. We’ve got to look at the positives, we’re still unbeaten in the league, we’re fifth, so if you look at the overall picture it hasn’t been a bad three days.
“Nobody has beaten us yet this season so from an overall perspective it has been positive. But if you are looking at the game you’d have hoped that we’d have won this one.
“But it hasn’t turned out that way. I’m sure that we’ll put it right throughout the season.
“We knew that Radcliffe were going to try and make it difficult for us so for them to get the two (opening) goals was disappointing because we had to graft even harder to get back into the game.
“We should have gone into half-time two goals up realistically as they were two poor goals to concede I thought.
“We showed a lot of character to get the two goals back, and then it was disappointing to concede the third one. We had a couple more chances to go on and win the game as well.”
