HEREFORD FC have signed former Aston Villa and two-time League Two winning midfielder Jordan Lyden.
The 27-year-old Australian made four Premier League appearances for Villa at the start of his career before going on to play for Oldham, Swindon and Leyton Orient.
Lyden won League Two during his first of three seasons with Swindon and then made five appearances last season for Leyton Orient as they won the title.
“Jordan is a brilliant midfielder who has won League Two twice already in his career,” said Hereford boss Paul Caddis, to the club’s website.
“He’s a ball winning central midfielder but has great quality in possession and makes good decisions.”
“Jordan is a brilliant signing for our football club and I am a huge admirer of his having played alongside him several years ago.
“When you have an opportunity to sign players like Jordan I think we are a club that needs to grasp those opportunities and make the most of it. He will add further competition to the group and strengthen our squad further.”
