HEREFORD have signed creative midfielder Connor Stanley on a short-term deal after a successful trial period.
The 21-year-old has previously played for Manchester United and Bolton Wanderers as a youngster. Bulls’ manager Paul Caddis said that money created from the good turnout against Aston Villa under-23s last week allowed them to sign Stanley.
He told the club’s website: ““Connor came in to train with us a few weeks ago and we knew from the very first session that he was a player we’d like to add to the squad.
“As a result of our passionate supporters turning up in huge numbers for the Aston Villa pre-season friendly, we have now signed Connor on a initial short-term deal which is fantastic news.
“I am delighted to bring Connor into our group – he’s a player who will add great quality to us and offer a different threat in the final third. He has brilliant technical ability and his personality is infectious too.
“I know that, having seen his abilities in the pre-season games he’s been involved with, this is a signing that will please our fans and I can understand why.”
