HEREFORD FC have signed former Cheltenham Town defender Jordan Cranston ahead of their first pre-season game on Saturday.
The 29-year-old made 23 appearances for National League North winning AFC Fylde last season after previously playing for Solihull Moors.
After starting his career at Wolves the defender moved to Cheltenham where he helped them to promotion into the Football League.
Cranston is described as a ‘versatile left sided defender’. The club’s website adds: “His pace and physicality will stand him in good stead as part of the back line.”
“Bringing someone of Jordan’s experience and quality in shows the direction I want this football club to go,” Hereford manager Paul Caddis told the club’s website. “Jordan played a part in securing the National League North title with Fylde last year so he doesn’t just possess quality, he also has a winning mentality.
“Naturally a left sided full back, he can comfortably play at centre half and across the midfield as well. He has a brilliant left foot with enormous quality and always looks to play forward.”
