HEREFORD PEGASUS have signed Hereford youngster Harrison Summers on loan.

Summers who has been signed by Hereford this season to play in the full-back role spent last year playing at Westfields as a striker.

The youngster has been on loan at Cinderford already this season and played in Hereford’s 3-0 victory over Ludlow Town Colts in the Herefordshire County Cup on Wednesday night.

A statement on the Hereford Pegasus Twitter page said: “The addition of the exciting youngster shows the ambition of the club as we look to improve on our league position.

“Harrison will be available to go straight into tomorrow's squad.”

Hereford Pegasus also progressed in the County Cup on Tuesday night when they beat Ledbury Town 2-0.

Peggy opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Carlos Moreira crashed the ball past Alex Goode from the edge of the penalty area.

Shortly after Moreira was dismissed for kicking an opponent, a skirmish followed and both Joel Skyers and Sam Pearson were also dismissed.

The visitors managed the game until the break limiting Ledbury to long-range attempts on goal.

Ledbury playing down the slope had plenty of possession, forcing a string of corners resulting in a headed effort crashing against the crossbar.

Tom Boyle, a former Pegasus player, then forced goalkeeper James Loader to make a good save at the foot of the post.

Pegasus secured their place in the next round with a 69th minute second goal when a clearance found Cawley Cox on the halfway line, who raced towards the penalty area before shooting past the goalkeeper.
