THE Herefordshire Golf Club are celebrating a successful season which has seen members win all four Herefordshire County Championship titles.

Making their mark in the history books this was the first time the feat has been achieved by one single club.

Ady Marshall led the way by winning the men’s county championship crown at Alexander Park and with it taking the course record with his first round score.

Not to be outdone Karen Darby won the ladies county championship, a trophy she has won for the last 13 consecutive seasons.

In the team competition Bill and Ailsa Main won the mixed gross title at the South Herefordshire Golf Club.

Taking the seniors crown was Paul Fisher who shot an impressive score of 74 in hot conditions to take victory at the Herefordshire Golf Club.

The club also celebrated success in the Shropshire and Herefordshire inter-county competitions.

Jon Devereux and Alex Allen once again won the Brian Lewis Trophy taking victory at the Church Stretton competition.

Captained by Adam Herbert the Herefordshire Golf Club side won the Handicap League with the final taking place at Shifnal Golf Club.

Their victories completes the set for the Herefordshire club at the inter-county competitions after also winning the Scratch and Hargrove titles in previously.

After winning the Herefordshire men’s county championship Marshall added the Shropshire and Herefordshire Open title to his collection.

The Herefordshire Golf Club member shot a two-over gross 144 to win the event at Burghill Valley GC.
