HEREFORD defender Jack Evans has reflected on his ‘collector’s item’ goal which helped his side to a 4-2 victory at Boston United.

The young full-back saw his 21st minute shot from long range take a deflection over the stranded goalkeeper as the Bulls stunned their hosts scoring a fourth goal two minutes later.

“It was a really good team performance and we’re delighted with the three points,” said Evans talking to Keith Hall.

“It was a bit of a collectors item but I’ve got two now (goals). I’m buzzing with it and really happy with myself.

“We took our chances really well, were a threat on the counter-attack and we know we’ve got that with the legs we’ve got up top.

“From set pieces Harry (Pinchard) put in some really good balls and we capitalised. We were really solid throughout the pitch, got the goals and then worked really hard.”

The Bulls head to Bromley in the FA Cup next weekend but Evans said his side come into the game full of confidence after a run of good performances.

“Hopefully we can build on this, a big month ahead and hopefully we can keep going with it,” added Evans.

“We’re coming in as underdogs but coming in with confidence all across the pitch. We’re going in there thinking we can get a result.”
