HEREFORD FC have signed winger James Caton who was straight on the bench for today’s league game at Alfreton Town.
The 28-year-old has previously played for Southport, Darlington and most recently Dover Athletic last season, playing 12 games.
Caton came on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw.
“James has been around a while and had a good career,” said Gowling.
“He’s been in training with us for a good few weeks. What he will do is bring us a bit of quality in the final third.
“He’s good one v one, he will pick balls up in the pocked in the 10 (position) or out wide. He’s hungry and he’s a strong boy.
“Looking at the options we have currently in that position he was definitely a good acquisition for us.
