HEREFORD have brought in loanee goalkeeper Cian Tyler on a month-long loan from Coventry City.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper is a product of the Coventry City Academy and has been brought in to replace injured goalkeeper Brad Wade who will miss tomorrow’s game at Alfreton at least.

“He’s in a lot of pain and was in a lot of pain after the incident (colliding with the post in Hereford’s 3-1 defeat against Gloucester City),

“For him to carry on the way he did was absolutely outstanding and shows his character. We’re going to look at getting him a scan to see the damage in his arm.

“It didn’t look great to be honest. He won’t be available for Saturday (Alfreton) with that injury.”

Tyler signed his first professional deal with Coventry City during the summer of 2020. Described as a ‘towering goalkeeper’ Tyler impressed as an under-18 and has also been playing in City’s under-23 and been part of the club’s first team matchday squad on occasions.

He was called up to the Wales Under-16s and has non-league loan experience at Barwell.
