HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling felt the opening Ryan Lloyd goal changed the game in his side’s 4-1 win at Alvechurch.

Ryan McLean created the 37th minute opener pulling the ball back for Lloyd to slide the ball home to put Hereford ahead.

This came after Bulls goalkeeper Brad Wade made a fine save to deny Tyrell Hamilton while the hosts also had a goal chalked off for off-side.

“I thought they were very strong in the first 30 minutes,” said Gowling.

“They passed forward well, passed the ball well and put us under a lot of pressure. They had an off-side goal ruled out, I thought they were excellent.

“We didn’t get to grips with it as well as I would like. I thought we didn’t press as a unit but as individuals.

“But after that I think once we scored the game changed and Miles (Storey) could have had a hat-trick in the first half. We had a few wasted opportunities but I thought we broke well.

“I’m pleased with the performance overall.”
