HEREFORD captain Jared Hodgkiss has signed a contract to keep him at the club for next season.

The 35-year-old, from Stafford, has been Hereford captain for the past two seasons.

Hodgkiss has signed for a third season at the club after initially signing in July 2019.

Last season Hodgkiss played 39 times scoring three goals.

Hodgkiss said: “I love the club, its a great club to be at. I enjoy working under the gaffer (Josh Gowling) and with the club’s staff.

“If we can get Edgar Street rocking then it could be a fortress. but that comes from us, we need to put the performances in to make the fans get behind us. I think we’ll be able to get on the front foot next season and get a good start.”

Hereford manager Josh Gowling told the club's website about the contract renewal: “I’m delighted to get Jared sorted, towards the back end of the season he was our most constant player and lead this team so well.

"He demands standards and drives the dressing room.”
