HEREFORD Taekwondo club returned to competitive action with a bang at the T.A.G.B English Championships in Worcester.
There were over 1,200 competitors at the event and the standard throughout the association is still increasing, even after the long Covid-19 break, so any medals gained are thoroughly deserved.
There were some great individual performances and some near misses with competitors narrowly losing to the overall winners in the earlier rounds, so there is a lot to look forward to this year.
Stefan Dragomir led the way for the Hereford team clinching golds in grand champion and foot power along with silvers in speed kicking and foot power and finally a bronze in tag teams.
Adam Janczewski followed his lead taking a gold in foot power and silver in grand champion and speed kicking and finally a bronze in hand power.
Patryk Janczewski was also in the medals taking gold in patterns, silver in leg power and a bronze in hand power.
Also gold medalists were Oskaris Rackauskas (tag teams) and Nikola Janczewska (leg power).
Meanwhile silver medalists in sparring were Maja Nieznalska, Maddie Dytor, Shona Taylor: and Mike Lawrence.
Taking home bronze medals from the event were James Goodfellow (sparring), Daniel Jancewski (hand power) and Daniel Powell (sparring).
