HEREFORD FC manager Josh Gowling has responded to speculation linking him with the vacant Boston United job.

The Bulls boss, who lives in Grimsby, was linked to the job in the Non-League Paper on Sunday.

Gowling and his assistant Steve Burr signed a two-year contract with Hereford in May.

The Bulls boss said he was 'flattered' at being linked to the job but played down the rumour.

OTHER HEREFORD FC NEWS:

"It's nice to get linked with jobs of course, it tells you you're doing alright,"

"I saw it in the paper but haven't had any contact with them.

"From my point I've got a job to do at Hereford and getting them back up the table with a few games in hand.

"That's what I'm looking at, I'm not looking at anything else.

"Boston are a fantastic club with a new stadium who look like they're going in the right direction with that, a bit like York with that I suppose.

"It's flattering to be linked with a job like that, but I saw it in the newspaper like everybody else.

"So from my point of view I'm concentrating on my job at Hereford.

"I get the link because it's around the corner from my house, but if you look in my playing career I've travelled at everywhere I've been.

"I'm from Coventry I then went to Bournemouth and Denmark.

"For me travelling is not an issue. Just because it's on my doorstep doesn't mean I'm favourite to get the job or I want the job, just because it's on my doorstep.

"I love the club (Hereford), I love what we're doing at the football club and that's what I'm focused on."
