HEREFORD have lost striker Dan Smith and defender Levi Andoh who have both returned to their parent clubs.

Hereford manager Josh Gowling said he has lost two of his starting 11 and earlier suggested his side would have to adapt if they lost players.

Smith, aged 22, joined the Bulls at the end of August but has now returned to parent club Eastleigh.

Despite only scoring a handful of goals Gowling says the Bulls will miss his work-rate.

HEREFORD FC NEWS:

"I think with Dan because he’s a forward and he didn’t score the goals people thought he would have, that he’s not a benefit to the squad but we always have an industrious player especially in the front line," said Gowling.

"What he did do is he worked hard, he was an outlet for us, he was honest and what he did do was facilitate others to get goals because of his work rate.

"He is a bit like Ryan Lloyd when he doesn’t play you’ll miss him. Ryan Lloyd goes under the radar a lot, but his distribution is excellent, his ball retention is excellent, the way he breaks up play is excellent and when he isn’t in there you miss him.

"I think Dan will be one of those we are definitely going to miss.

Meanwhile Andoh, aged 21, has been on loan with the Bulls since September.

He has played across the back four positions with his initial one month loan extended until January, but he has now returned.

Levi is a brilliant boy, he started at centre half, probably not his best position, and then when we moved him out to full back, he obviously got man of the match, added Gowling.

"He gets forward well, puts some good deliveries in the box, he is pleasing on the eye as well so yeah, he is going to be a miss."

Meanwhile, the Bulls have extended Mitch Hancox's loan at York City until the end of the season."
