THE Herefordshire Under-19 EFL CEFA side partnered with Hereford Ludlow & North Shropshire College stand on the brink of a remarkable turnaround.

The students head into their final league game against Bristol Rovers knowing that a win would mean they top their group and qualify for the last 32 of the competition.

Despite losing their opening two league games the Herefordshire students responded and two wins against Swindon Town C puts destiney in their own hands.

Firstly the students hosted Swindon Town knowing a win would take them out of bottom two but would also make their unbeaten run to four games.

Skipper Harrison Creed opened the scoring with a diving header which was shortly doubled by advancing left-back Odin Fisher heading home.

Swindon came out strongly in the second half pulling a goal back setting up a tense remaining 30 minutes.

The Hereford based side restored their two goal cushion through Brad Harmon arrived before Josh Ball completed the win.

A week later the students hosted Swindon knowing that a win would keep their hopes of progressing alive.

This time a strong Swindon side took the lead before Nathan Weale beat two men and levelled the tie at the break.

The Hereford students took the lead through an audacious Fisher lob before scoring his second.

James Wagstaff sealed the win with a fourth goal.
