HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling said Kidderminster goalkeeper Luke Simpson was off his goal-line when he saved Dan Smith’s penalty after their 1-1 draw.

“Some of the decisions today,” said Gowling talking to Keith Hall.

“Krystian (Pearce) has been booked for somebody kicking him in the eye, Dan Smith has been booked for being pushed in the chest.

“The penalty that they saved, we have watched it on the video, he is a good yard off his line and that wasn’t the first penalty.

“You just want officials to come here and do their job at the moment we are just not getting that. It’s frustrating that we ended up losing the game on penalties where as if the goalkeeper is on his line he might get a hand to Dan Smith’s one but it would go into the net.

“When he’s a yard off his line he saves it, it hits the post and goes out and we end up losing the game on penalties.

“Some of the things he (the referee) gave today you just ask yourself what he had seen?”

Amari Morgan-Smith opened the scoring after 19 minutes before Ryan McLean levelled the score just before the break.

“First half we didn’t implement the game plan we worked on and gave them too much space in the middle of the pitch,” added Gowling.

“In the second half did what we were supposed to do and dominated the game. It was a tale of two halves.”
