- Westfields started slowly and the first chance came after 12 minutes with Matt McDonald seeing his free-kick tipped over the bar by goalkeeper Jack Copland
- Five minutes later Tuffley had a golden opportunity with Aaron Basford heading a cross behind with the goal at his mercy.
- It took Fields until the 24th minute to get a string of attacking play together with Josh Hunt seeing his effort deflected before Matt McDonalds cut inside and having his effort saved from a tight angle.
- Defender Joe Davies was next to go close seeing his header from a corner sail just over.
- Richard Greaves was next for go close for Fields sending his header wide from a Hunt cross.
- Goalkeeper Copland was forced into a double save before the break denying Hunt when he was through on goal before also stopping the striker's rebound.
- It took Fields an hour to turn the screw from two set pieces firstly with Hunt heading over and then defender Joe Davies seeing his close range effort blocked.
- Five minutes from time Tuffley opened the scoring with a quick counter-attack releasing Jamal Lawrence who crashed the ball home.
