MOTORCYCLE enthusiasts will be heading to Herefordshire this weekend for the ACU British Championship Motorcycle Grass-track event hosted by the Ledbury MCC.

With this being a major national event in the motorcycle grass-track racing calendar, competitors from all parts of the country will again make the journey to Pencombe in search of those coveted championship titles on Saturday (September 25).

Classes catered for throughout the day are for 250cc, 350cc and Upright Solo’s with also some great action in store from the 500cc and 1000cc Left Hand Sidecars.

Some of the local championship riders to look out for include Adam Hawker, Ben Phillips and Paul Dufty in the 250cc contest, Tom Davis, Neil Taylor and Barry Powell in the 350cc class and Alex Balman driving a 1000cc left hand sidecar.

In the Upright Solo support group both Darren Phillips and Dave Burry both start.

As normal the venue for the racing is Sparrington Farm, Pencombe, near Bromyard, HR7 4SL with the action due to get underway at 1pm. Admission prices for the event are £15 for adults, £12 concessions and under-16’s free.
