CRICKET and racing enthusiasts will be in their element at Eastnor on Sunday when the two sports come together at a special fundraising event.

Stars from the world of racing, including top trainers and jockeys, will be taking part in a match against an Eastnor Invitation team to raise funds for the Injured Jockeys fund.

Among those who are scheduled to line up are members of the Scudamore family and trainer Oliver Sherwood, as well as trainer Matt Sheppard and his jockey son Stan who have connections with the Eastnor club.

The Eastnor team will include players from other clubs around the county plus former Wales rugby international Garin Jenkins and ex-England star James Simpson-Daniel.

Among the cricketers taking part are Herefordshire County Cricket Club stars Barney Morgan and Ian Bullock while county coach and former captain Richard Skyrme is also dusting off his whites.

There will also be an auction to raise funds for the charity.

The action is set to begin at 2pm with entrance set at £10 per car.
