Ross Golf Club member Sally Fycun celebrated her year as ladies captain recently with her drive-in.

After a glass of bubbly, 48 ladies applauded Fycun as she played a drive on the first tee of 188 yards.

The winners of the Am-Am competition were Julia Wilde, Martha Norton, Audrey Causon and Alison Charles with 89 points, closely followed in second place by Sally Fycun, Sue Johnson, Mary Smith and Nadia Stirling with 87 points.

On July 6, the Ladies Am-Am Stableford was won by Jackie Wheatstone, Ruth Pimlow, Sue Johnson and Martha Norton with 85 points.

Thirty-four ladies played in the Needham Cup/July medal. In first place was Rhian McGinley with a score of nett 73, followed by Sue Johnson in second place on countback with nett 75 and in third place Ellie Teasdale with nett 75.

Thirteen ladies played in the nine-hole Stableford competition on the same day, which was won by Jean Ovens with 17 points, closely followed by Christine Downs with 16 points.

The Race to Turnberry Stableford Competition was played by 37 ladies on July 27, and was won on countback by Ruth Pimlow with 37 points. Jennifer Reeve-Tucker was second on countback with 37 points , followed by Audrey Causon with 37 points.

The nine-hole stableford played by six ladies on the same day, was won by Christine downs with 17 points.

In second place was Liz Chick with 16 points.
