- Lads Club showed some encouraging signs early on with Tom Bendall having the best chance when a deflected shot fell in his pass but he failed to connect with his effort and the goalkeeper gathered.
- The visitors who had won their opening two league games took a 24th minute lead when Harlie Price connected with a floated cross and headed home.
- Price almost had a second three minutes later beating the goalkeeper only for Liam Jones to block his effort off the line.
- At the other end Levi Ellis almost put Lads Club level with his effort just sailing over the crossbar.
- However, it was the visitors and Price who struck again after Steve Bell saved from a corner but the striker scored the rebound.
- Price could have sealed the points after 34 minutes seeing his effort fly across the face of goal and wide.
- However, Lads Club responded and Kalum Wildig sent a volley wide and Tom Dawson a header also off-target.
- A minute before the break Oliver Price rattled the post from a Lads Club free-kick which the goalkeeper could only watch crash off the woodwork.
- The hosts were back in the game on 56 minutes when James Hancocks crossed for Levi Ellis to tap home in front of goal.
- Eight minutes later Lads Club were level from the penalty spot.
- Kiea Cowley was through on goal when brought down inside the box and injuring him.
- From the penalty spot Tom Bendall fired home to level the score.
- Nine minutes from time Bendall capitalised on a loose ball but was denied an effort at goal by
- a last ditch challenge.
- Defender Liam Jones had the chance to win it for Lads Club in injury time rising to meet a Kalum Wildig cross but heading inches wide.
