DALES Cricket Club had some individual performances to remember as they came away from the weekend with a win and a loss.

15-year-old Lucas Jones was the star for the second side, taking seven wickets for just seven runs as they won a hard-fought battle against Brockhampton. 13-year-old Ollie Bufton eventually hit the winning runs, showing that the future is certainly bright.

Their first eleven narrowly lost to Ledbury despite a brilliant hundred from Harry Ellis. They go on to face Brockhampton thirds and Woolhope respectively next week.

Elsewhere, Brock themselves secured victory in the Worcestershire Premier, defeating Old Elizabethans by nine wickets, as well as their second side beating Rushwick by 137 runs two divisions below.

Colwall and Bromyard were less successful in the top tier, having both been bowled out for double figure totals and beaten comfortably. Both of their second teams fell short in their respective matches too.

Eastnor and Bewdley battled for 100 overs in division four, with the Herefordshire outfit picking up a winning draw.

In the Marches Leagues, Wormelow, Luctonians and Garnons picked up majority points, with the former set to win their second Premier title in three years.

Jasper Linley-Adams hit 80 and James Snow 60 for Wormelow in a winning draw against Kington.

Ross-on-Wye lost out at Crickhowell by three wickets despite Graham Howls excellent 109 but will likely fall short of promotion to the top tier with Ledbury leading the race.

Fixtures resume once more this weekend, with the final positions yet to be decided.
