HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling said their 8-1 friendly defeat to Cheltenham Town was the worst since he has been at the football club.
The Bulls saw Luke Haines sent off early in the first half playing 80 minutes against the League One side.
However, Gowling said he understood the decision but his side was missing pace with attacking players Miles Storey and Ryan McLean unavailable due to an “admin issue”.
Former Hereford United striker Andy Williams scored a hat-trick as did Alfie May in the heavy defeat.
Ben Pollock did pull a goal back at the death through a header.
