ROYAL National College For The Blind (RNC) in Hereford were victorious in their FA Disability Cup final on Saturday, defeating Merseyside Blind and Visually Impaired FC on penalties.
The event taking place at St George’s Park hosted several finals for different disabilities, with RNC winning the Blind Cup live on BT Sport.
Their opponents took the lead through Robin Williams early on before RNC’s Dan English equalised. The tie went to spot kicks, seeing captain Owen Bainbridge smash into the top left corner.
RNC last lifted the trophy in 2018 and were delighted with the victory on social media.
“#ItsComingHome! A great finals weekend. Thanks BT Sport for great accessible coverage and highlighting our amazing sport.”
