HEREFORD FC have appointment James Edmonds as manager for their under-18’s community team.

Having previously coached the Hereford United under-15 and Hereford FC under-16 and more recently with both the Cheltenham and Bristol Rovers Development Centres, Edmonds has a wealth of experience.

He holds the UEFA B Coaching Award, FA Youth Award Module 3, Futsal Level 1 and Level 1 Talent Identification.

“This is a great opportunity for under-18 players and having had over 20 years experience coaching youth and adult football, I feel that I can bring good quality coaching to the squad,” said Edmonds.

Jonathan Nash, Hereford FC's community engagement manager, added: “I think it’s a positive move for the Community Programme, bringing in James to run the U18’s.

"It's great to have a local coach from Hereford. Knowing James he will bring his enthusiasm and knowledge of the game.”

Hereford FC Chairman, Jon Hale added: “ We are delighted to welcome James and Kevin to their roles with our community under-18s squad and wish them every success.

"It is great to have you as part of the Hereford FC team, and I am sure supporters will be keen to support our under-18s in the same way as they do the first team.

"This is another massively positive step forwards for the club, and we look forward to seeing James and Kevin develop our young players.”

Edmonds will be assisted by Kevin Griffin, with pre-season friendlies starting in the next few weeks.
