HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling says he is prepared for the right centre half to bring to the football club.
The Bulls beat Westfields 3-1 in their first pre-season friendly at Allpay Park with a first team playing in the first half and mainly trialists in the second half.
Versatile midfielders Ben Pollock and Luke Haines played as central defenders in the first half with the former scoring the second goal after Joey Butlins opener.
“We’ve lost two centre halfs so they’ve got to be replaced,” said Gowling talking to Keith Hall.
“As a centre half myself it’s important that we get the right one in. We’ve looked at a few but they’ve not been right for us so we’ll wait to get the right one in.”
