BROMYARD made it six wins from seven in the Worcestershire Premier Division after a 10-run home win over league leaders Stourbridge.

The hosts posted a challenging 246 all out from 49.3 overs at Flaggoners Green primarily thanks to George Godsall’s 79, his maiden league fifty for the firsts, and Ed Smith’s 53.

In reply George Bouston blew away Stourbridge’s top order with 4-20 from 10 overs, before the skipper Greg Leighton (2-36 from 10 overs) and his brother Nick (3-34 from 5.3 overs) mopped up the lower order. Bromyard currently sit fourth Premier Division table.

Meanwhile, Bromyard seconds got back to winning ways with a nail-biting four-run win over Old Vigornians seconds at King’s Hawford.

Bromyard made 233-3 from their 45 overs, Edd Oliver carrying his bat for 112 not out, Mike Reece scoring 50 and Tim Crichard 38, before Mike Reece (3-53 from nine overs) and Max Rowley (2-32 from 8 overs) blew away their opponent's top order, and veteran spinner Dan Mills took 2-62 from nine overs.

The skipper Rowley then returned to bowl a good final over and ensure that the hosts finished five runs short of their target at 229-8.

Bromyard thirds continue to lead Division 9 South after a 25 run win over Barnards Green.
