HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling has warned that some of players will move on this summer due to budget constraints.

Tom Owen-Evans was the first player confirmed as signing for the club for next season last week while it is believed Luke Haines has also committed for the campaign.

Gowling is hoping to keep the core of his FA Trophy final squad together next season but fears he may lose some.

"We are going to keep a core of the squad together that's for sure and we're going to look at bringing in some additions," said Gowling talking to Matt Ponter on the club's Youtube page HERE.

"Some players will move on that we probably want to keep but because of the budget we can't.

"Some fans will be happy with that, some won't I'm sure."

Gowling hopes to bring in some experienced heads for next season after losing some of his senior players during the course of last season.

"The big thing for me when it comes to recruitment is bringing in lads who are used to playing in high pressure environments," added Gowling.

"That is one of the big things I want to take away from Wembley. We had Dan Jones, Jake Wright for a period, Giles Coke and Lenell John-Lewis.

"They were four key parts of the team in a sense and they're used to them big occasions.

"The lads have been fantastic all the way through it, if we can add a couple of additions to help them through it, especially the younger players to guide them through that's what we want to do."

Last year the Bulls fielded a host of trialists during pre-season, Gowling hopes this year will be more 'steady'.

"We want to get a lot of friendly games in and I like staggering the minutes to help get the lads' fitness levels up," Gowling added.

"We want a steady pre-season, last year we didn't, we had a lot of trialists in and it took probably six games into the season to find our feet which I don't want.

"I think it's important to have a lot more engagement with the fans which I think is important."
