HEREFORD goalkeeper Brandon Hall celebrated his 28th birthday by guiding Hereford to an FA Trophy final at Wembley.

Fresh from the celebrations Hall carried out the post-match interviews in his underwear.

“It’s good attire the birthday suit, it’s a great win, it’s unbelievable, a great achievement and fully deserved,” said Hall

On a personal note to do it on a birthday as well, it is a hell of a celebration so I’m really chuffed.

“Probably a few too many beers and a couple of cupcakes. We’ve got a good team spirit and it shows.

“It’s a shame we can’t celebrate with fans and go out in Hereford, it would have been great. I can’t wait to be walking back into the changing room because I’m freezing.”

Hall added that the Wembley final reflected the commitment the side have shown during the season.

He added: “I think we played really well and have shown twice now that we can cut it amongst teams in the league above us so we can clearly cut it amongst the lads who maybe don’t rate us as highly.

“Now we’re looking forward to Wembley. I felt as though I played well and have conceded one goal now in the lead up to the final, so a hell of a performance.

“We had to be on our toes but we’ve got a hell of a defence as a team right from Joey (Butlin) up top all throughout the team, we defend really well and it shows literally having conceding one goal in the whole competition, in the last minute against Aldershot.

“I feel I’m a pretty good goalkeeper in a pretty good team and I think we deserve to be at least in a league higher than what we are and I think we’ve proven that.

“Not many people have the chance to play at Wembley or to win trophies regardless of the level, I’m honestly over the moon.

“I think it’s deserved, in that squad the commitment is unbelievable.

“Hopefully it’s the start of something special for the club and for myself hopefully more to come from it,

“For now it’s definitely the highlight.”
