HEREFORD have signed Afghanistan international Maziar Kouhyar ahead of their FA Trophy tie with Woking today.

The 23-year-old midfielder started as a Coventry City youth player.

He then made 21 appearances between 2016 and 2019 for Walsall in League One.

However, he has been away from the game for 18 months with an ACL injury.

Kouhyar is an Afghanistan international and has made six appearances.

He was the first footballer born in Afghanistan to play professionally in the UK.

Kouhyar makes the bench on his debut against Woking.
