HEREFORD FC have signed left-back Lewis Butroid on loan from Scunthorpe United ahead of today's FA Trophy tie with Aldershot Town.

The 22-year-old had been loaned out to Spennymoor Town in January before the season was curtailed.

Butroid is straight into the starting 11 for today's game at Aldershot.

“With the departure of Dan Jones we’ve acted quickly to bring in a replacement left-back," Hereford manager Josh Gowling told the club's website.

“Lewis has featured a number of times for Scunthorpe, so we know that he will be of a high standard.

“Lewis has trained with the lads and has fitted in really well, he’s another player who has a great attitude and I am sure he will be a positive addition to the squad for today’s game.”
