THE NATIONAL League has confirmed that Hereford’s league season will cease ‘with immediate effect’ and be classed as null and void.

Hereford along with 14 other National League North clubs voted for the season to be ended and that resolution has been passed.

"The board will take the resolution outcomes to the Football Association for ratification," said the National League in a statement.

"This will include dialogue regarding promotion and relegation."

The Bulls remain in the FA Trophy and will play National League side Aldershot in that competition next Saturday.

The results of the vote saw National League clubs vote unanimously in favour of the National League North/South having their own vote on the continuation of the league.

National League North sides voted 15-7 in favour of curtailing the league with National League South sides voted 12-9 against the resolution.

That means that a majority of five voted for the season to be curtailed and classed as ‘null and void’.

National League clubs voted for their season to continue.

It’s the second season Hereford’s league campaign has been classed as ‘null and void’.

Hereford finish after 13 league games having won five, drawn five and lost three.
