HEREFORD FC have signed pacey forward Ryan McLean on loan from Newcastle Town.

The 21-year-old joins from Newcastle Town where he used his 'lightning pace' to devastating affect scoring nine goals in 10 games this season.

McLean was at Shrewsbury Town Academy and has spent time training with Port Vale and Salford. “He’s a really exciting player, he’s rapid and is a real livewire," Hereford manager Josh Gowling told the club's official website.

“He’s got great movement and a really good workrate, he likes to get on the ball and create chances.

“The arrival of Ryan and Michael (Bakare) will give us a real balance to our attack and I’m really excited to get them both in.”
