JAMES Watts has resigned from his role as general manager at Hereford FC.

In December Watts founded UK Football Solutions- an independent football consultancy, advertising, sponsorship and marketing agency.

A statement on the club's website said that Watts has been on furlough for the past three months and has made the 'difficult decision to leave the Bulls to concentrate on his new business venture'.

The statement said: "We would like to thank him for his valued contribution during his time with us, particularly as he has been instrumental in keeping the club going this past year with his commercial expertise.

"We are confident that he will be a success in his new business and we are sure our paths will cross again."

Watts was appointed as general manager at Hereford FC in September 2017

Talking about his time at the club Watts told the club's official website: "I have had a thoroughly enjoyable three and a half years at Hereford FC and I hope that we can work together in the future."
