TOM Owen-Evans said the Bulls had to adjust their playing style to play out a 2-0 victory against Stamford win nine men.

With marksman Lenell John-Lewis absent Owen-Evans had to fill his role and scored a goal in either half.

“It was a tough game and a lot like Nantwich where rather than play pretty football like we have this season we had to adjust our playing style and dig in as a team,” said Owen-Evans.

“I think that shows we can come places like here, change our game and come away with good results.

“That’s their season finished now so we knew that if they could win this game they would carry on playing football, that’s a massive incentive for them.

“We knew it was going to be tough and what the conditions would be like but to a man the boys were brilliant.

“Going one and then two men down didn’t help but I felt comfortable really. The back four were unbelievable and Brandon (Hall) in goal as well.

“I thought we were comfortable.”
