- Chris Camwell went closest on 16 minutes when his free-kick had the goalkeeper beaten but crashed off the bar.
- John-Lewis was denied by goalkeeper Hall again on 29 minutes after turning inside the box and shooting low.
- On the half-time whistle Nantwich almost had an unlikely lead when Curtis Miller snuck inside the box before firing inches wide.
- After the break Bulls goalkeeper Brandon Hall was forced into action to deny David Webb's effort.
- Bulls defender Jamie Grimes should have given his side a 62nd minute lead after John-Lewis cut a ball into the box, but his effort on the run fell wide.
