- Fylde almost took the lead within the opening minutes when Alex Whitmore was found unmarked at the back post but was denied by Brandon Hall.
- The visitors were ahead on seven minutes when the Bulls failed to clear a free-kick and David Perkins' deflected effort found the net.
- Liam Nolan could have doubled Fylde's lead controlling inside the box before firing wide.
