HEREFORD FC are anticipating being allowed no more than 1,000 fans for their home game against AFC Fylde next weekend.

It will be the first time fans have been allowed in Edgar Street since the coronavirus pandemic began in March.

In a statement the club said they have been working hard with the local authorities and relevant organisations to enable spectators back into Edgar Street following last week’s announcements from the Government.

“We are hoping that we will be granted approval for the AFC Fylde match on Saturday, December 12 ,” the statement said.

“This may be a test event to enable us to ensure that safety is given the utmost priority.

“Therefore, capacity for the AFC Fylde fixture will be reduced and we anticipate this will be no more than 1,000.

“Please bear with us whilst we agree the details of this process that will reflect the detailed guidance from Government, the National League and Sports Ground Safety Authority.

“Whilst at this stage we hope to be able to allow 1,400 people into Edgar Street, we should point out that our socially distanced crowd will only increase minimally if we were to enter Tier 1 at any stage.

“We want to be transparent and ensure that we do not falsely raise any hopes. Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we continue to try and adapt to new guidance.

“Please refrain from calling the club around tickets at this increasingly busy period.”

The club have asked spectators to follow these guidelines:

  • Please do not travel to Edgar Street if you have any Covid-19 Symptoms
  • There may be temperature checks prior to entry to the stadium, please allow extra time on arrival
  • Wear a Face Mask whilst moving around the stadium.
  • Food and drink concessions may not be open within the stadium
  • Adherence to supporter’s code of conduct will be mandatory
  • No transfer of tickets will be allowed to ensure that supporters comply with full track and trace procedures
  • Spectators on the Meadow End & Len Weston Terrace will need to stay on/within allocated markers to comply with social distancing methods
  • Hand sanitiser will be in place within the stadium and should be used on entry and when passing designated points
  • Exit from the stadium will be staggered to ensure social distancing
  • Please do not travel to Edgar Street if you live in a Tier 3 area.

Please Note: Non-adherence to any of the supporter’s code of conduct will result in the Club having the capacity drastically reduced.
