EWYAS Harold and Holme Lacy are in strong positions to battle for the Herefordshire Premier title as the season reached an enforced lockdown break.


Under new manager Joe Taylor, Harold have won five of their opening six games.
Jake Cleves has led their goal scoring netting six times in six matches while Richard Lynes has scored four so far in this campaign.


Harold’s only defeat came against reigning champions and league leaders Clee Hill United.


Holme Lacy are also well in the title hunt improving as their campaign has continued.


Despite an opening day draw to Ludlow Town Colts they have won four of their opening six league games, their only defeat also at the hands of league leaders Clee Hill.


In Division One six wins from their opening seven games sees Hereford Lads Club Reserves top the table.


Ben Sheffield leads the goal scoring charts with five goals so far for Lads Club.
Tenbury United, Leominster Town and Tenbury Town are all within touching distance of the leaders at the break.


High-scoring Fownhope Reserves and Lower Teme & Martley United look set to challenge in Division Two alongside Burghill Rangers.


Fownhope sit top with seven wins from eight games so far this season.
The leaders have won seven out of eight games and netted 49 goals- averaging over six goals a game.


Meanwhile, Lower Teme & Martley United have won all five of their opening ties but played three games less than their rivals.
