A PLAYER at Westfields FC in Hereford has tested positive for coronavirus, the club have confirmed.
As a result, it means they've been forced to postpone this weekend's game at Hellenic League Premier game at Flackwell Heath.
The club has wished the player a "full and speedy recovery" and said no others are currently showing Covid-19 symptoms.
"The club has been in contact with the Hellenic League, FA and HFA and we are following all the appropriate actions in order to comply with track and trace, player monitoring and self-isolation," a statement read.
"We are taking all the appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved at Westfields Football Club. No other players are currently displaying any symptoms and we hope that this remains the case.
"We will continue to operate our stringent Covid safety measures at allpay park and will be asking for the total co-operation of everyone that visits the Club when we get back to playing football.
"Everyone at Westfields wishes the affected player a full and swift recovery."
Fields next scheduled fixture is on Saturday, October 31 at home to Romulus in the FA Vase.
