  • Despite the Bulls having an early spell of pressure it was the hosts who hit early with Bradley Tarbuck cutting inside from the wing and forcing Paul White into an early save.
  • Returning from a slight injury striker Lenell John-Lewis responded beating the defence before seeing his effort bobble across the face of goal wide.
  • Tom Owen-Evans won the ball on the edge of the box and smashed his effort off the bar from a tight angle on 20 minutes.
  • Jamie Grimes was next to go close and sent a low free-kick just wide of the Gosport goal.
  • On the 27th minute John-Lewis fired the Bulls into the lead after Tom Owen-Evans brought the ball down and played in the marksman.
  • Moments later it could have been two as John-Lewis flicked on a cross to Kyle Finn who could only knock his effort over.
  • Kyle Finn was causing the hosts problems winning a free-kick and then seeing his effort deflected just wide on 37 minutes.

  • The second goal came on the 65th minute with John-Lewis fouled inside the box and then dispatching the resulting penalty into the bottom right of the goal.
  • Gosport gave themselves a lifeline with 17 minutes remaining pulling a goal back after a ball into the box fell for substitute Dan Wooden to slide home.
  • The Bulls kept pushing for more goals and Samir Nabi found Camwell unmarked at the back post whose effort was saved.
