HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling says that the trialists currently at the club will have a chance to show their value at Stourbridge tonight during a sold-out friendly match.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions a reduced capacity are being allowed into the War Memorial Athletic Ground for Hereford’s third friendly of pre-season.

Following Hereford’s 4-0 defeat by Newport County at the weekend Gowling looked ahead to the Stourbridge game.

Talking to the club’s official website, Gowling said: “We’ve got trialists in and sometimes they play in these games (against Newport) and they’re difficult because they are playing against Football League teams.

“Well they’re not going to be playing against those kinds of players every week. So the game against Stourbridge gives them a real opportunity to show what they can do at this level.”
