Opener Ian Bullock led the reply hitting 66 off 84 balls as his side comfortably reached their target with six overs remaining.

Colwall crashed to a 114-run defeat against top of the table Old Elizabethans.

Early wickets by Andrew Robertson and Michael Gooch left the hosts in the perilous position of 61-4.

At the other end opener Owen Morgan and Whizz Ettinger put on 90 before Morgan was dismissed by Lewis Franklin for 53 and later Ettinger for 38.

A swift classy 52no from Harry Sockett saw Burghill reach a respectable 248-7 off their 40 overs.

In reply Worcester lost opener Luke Roberts in the first over to a fine catch by keeper Luke Powell from the bowling of debutant Greg Leighton, who returned excellent figures of 4-24 off his allocation.

Burghill had the upper hand for most of the afternoon but Worcester kept up with the rate, Clark Knapton making a bludgeoning 78 before falling to Sockett.
