LUCTONIANS made it two wins from two in the GB Liners Marches League thanks partly to a knock of 116 by Frank Kelly.

Kelly arrived at the crease with his side on 23-1 before putting on the remarkable stand to help his side set a 267/7 target at Garnons.

In reply opener for the hosts Andrew Matthews rallied with 40, but his side were bowled out for 138 with Jamie Simpson taking 3-25.

Elsewhere, Wormelow were in an unforgiving mood as they beat last season’s Marches League Division 2 champions Woolhope by 244 runs.

Their decision to open the batting paid immediate dividends as openers Luke Jones (83) and Richard Stafford (53) put on a solid 143 for the first wicket in just 22 overs.

Young Jasper Linley-Adams picked up the tempo during the final few overs with an unbeaten 63 from 50 balls as Wormelow finished on 317-6 from their 40 overs.

With the ball Wormelow were equally as devastating with skipper Tom Cutler taking 4-15 and Luke Sparrow recording 5-16.

Woolhope fell all out for 73 off 19.4 overs.

Elsewhere, Ross-on-Wye responded to their opening day defeat in style by beating Brockhampton seconds by three wickets.

The Parks side struggled with the bat falling to 135 all out thanks to the bowling of Andrew Bevan 5-38 who skittled through the middle order.

Despite a shaky start in reply which saw them lose two early wickets Ross responded well with Graham Howls steadying the ship with a knock of 42 including nine fours.

Chloe Tingle contributed with 28 as her side reached 136/7.

Canon Frome also maintained their perfect start to the campaign in group four.

Andy Rogers hit 71 as they set a target of 213/7 at Kington off their 40 overs.

Led by Ben Smith's 81 and a half century by Duncan Morgan the hosts put up a good fight but were eventually bowled out for 186.
