THE Herefordshire Football Association has appointed the head coaches for its new boys development centre, with its aim to "create a safe, positive, football environment for talented players and aspiring coaches".

Tom Bullock, Marcin Jaworski, George Leyshon-James, Tom Mason and Alex Parry have been appointed as the first head coaches for the centre.

Herefordshire FA CEO Alan Darfi said: “Following a really competitive application and interview process we are delighted to appoint our first set of Head Coaches to the Boys Development Centre (BDC).

"These appointments bring a wealth of coaching knowledge and experience and we are really looking forward to working with them all to create a safe, positive, football environment for talented players and aspiring coaches from Herefordshire, with a participant centred focus.

Jamie Pitman, BDC Technical Director said: “We are delighted to appoint a team of coaches that have a similar mindset of player development and together we are looking forward to growing and improving as coaches and individuals while building a positive football experience for the players and parents who attend the centre.

"It will be an enjoyable experience to work with coaches that are passionate about their own and the centres development.”

The U12’s Head Coach will be Alex Parry, Alex is Level 2 coach and has recently completed a University Degree alongside coaching for Hereford Futsal Club and Futsal Futures.

George Leyshon-James is a UEFA B qualified coach and will be Head Coach for the U13 age group. George joins the BDC having most recently held a role at Hereford FC.

The U14 team’s Head Coach will be Tom Mason, who is a full-time coach for PACES and a UEFA B qualified coach. Tom is already engaged by the HFA as a Coach Mentor and a Girls Development Centre Coach.

Tom Bullock will be Head Coach for the U15’s and like Tom Mason is a full-time coach for PACES and the HFA GDC. Tom is a UEFA B qualified coach.

Marcin Jaworski has been appointed as the U16’s Head Coach. Marcin is also currently coaching at Belmont Wanderers and Tupsley Girls and is a UEFA B qualified coach

Following his appointment, Tom Mason said “I can’t wait to get started and meet everyone involved. I’m looking forward to building something that is going to be a big positive for football in Herefordshire.”

Marcin Jaworski added “I am very excited to get the opportunity to be a part of the fantastic HFA BDC project. I am looking forward to meeting the team and working together.”
